Littlest Pet Shop is a Hit at My House!

I know a new game is a hit at my house when my 10-year-old AND my 14-year-old want to play it! Wii's Littlest Pet Shop is a game my tween daughter loved right out of the box. But the reason I give this game a double thumbs up is because my teen daughter plays it too! Thank you PBN for letting me review this. It's been awhile since my daughters liked the same game!

Okay, in the spirit of full disclosure, my teen daughter tried to act like she was too cool to play Littlest Pet Shop. But as soon as my younger daughter started playing it, my teen was interested. This is no small feat! The status quo around our house is that if one sister likes something (TV show, book, game) the other sister automatically doesn't like it! The fact that both of the girls want to play Littlest Pet Shop is huge!

As a mom of a teen and a tween, it's nice to see my girls playing a game that doesn't involve violence or aliens. I realize that many of the popular games involve guns, aliens and action, I'm not in total denial.  However, I love the fact Littlest Pet Shop is about little animals, collecting your own little pets and caring for your pets. It's nice to see girls playing a game that is about taking care of living things, instead of shooting aliens.

Now if only I could get the girls to be as interested in our Pugs as they are in Wii's Little Pet Shop. Hopefully Wii can dream up a game soon to help me get my daughters to feed the dogs without nagging! I love this game and recommend it for families, even those with teens, as a game that everyone can play. Littlest Pet Shop is also available on Nintendo DS, check out more information about the game on Amazon.com.

Thank you for the review! I've been considering the game for my 10 year old daughter and 5 year old son. I was concerned the game wouldn't be interesting enough for her, as more of the existing reviews have been by parents of much younger girls.
